Office 365 Migration Steps
Windows Outlook/OneDrive/Teams Migration Instructions
Attention: YOU MUST follow these instructions the morning after the email Migration. Please follow the instructions below to reconfigure your office applications to connect to the Paragon environment after your migration. If the instructions are not followed, you will be connected to your old environment and no longer receive email and other communications
When you log in the morning of 8/22, you will see the following within about 30 seconds:
A window will appear and run a script. The red text is normal and will continue to run.

When it completes, after about 20-30 seconds you will see a message “You’re about to be signed out” and your computer will reboot.

Once your machine restarts, please log in and follow the below instructions to complete your migration.
Teams
After the reboot, log on again into windows and Teams will start.
If Teams does not launch automatically, they should launch it from the Teams desktop Icon. Teams may hang at the following screen:
Log in with your email address.

If you are presented with the following screen, click No, sign in to this app Only

Outlook
Launch Outlook from the Desktop Icon or Start Menu. You will be prompted to create a new profile, name it Paragon.

If your email address does not appear correctly, type it in and click Connect.

Type your password

Be sure to click “No, sign in to this app only”

Click Done

Office Activation
Once Outlook opens, Office might prompt you to Activate. If it does not pop up right away, simply continue to the next steps and it will pop up eventually.
Click Sign In to setup Office next

Type in your email address again

Click Close to complete the office setup

OneDrive
Setup OneDrive next by clicking the grey cloud with a line through it in the bottom right corner


Sign in with your email address and password

Enter your password

Be sure to click “No, sign in to this app only”

Accept the defaults and Click Next

Click Later for the mobile app

Click Open to finish

Important Actions and Notes related to Migration:
Outloook
- Once you open Outlook, it will take some time before all your items download. Please do not worry if you see Outlook folders that are empty, simply allow some time for your items to download
- If You have any issues with these instructions for Outlook, you can log into the Web version (OWA) at office.365.com and sign in with your email address and password.
- Any future and recurring meetings should be cancelled and recreated.
- Please cancel the old meetings and create new meetings from outlook.
- Verify and set up your signature.
- Reconfigure Outlook Favorites if you had any.
- Check and verify your Outlook rules have migrated, if any are missing, please recreate.
- If you use quicksteps, those will not be migrated and should be recreated.
- If you have access to a shared mailbox, you will need to re-add the shared mailbox.
Microsoft Teams
- Your contacts and old 1:1 chats will NOT come over.
- Please re-add any contacts you might have in teams. If adding your coworkers make sure you add them using their full email address.
- Teams that you are a member of have been migrated. If you are not seeing a Team that you had before, please ask the owner to re-add you.

While the majority of MS Teams content has been migrated, certain tabs or customizations might not have come over. Please look at the Teams that you own and recreate any missing content as needed.
